Welcome to Purple Thread. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Purple Thread mobile application, website, and related products and services (collectively, the "Services"). Purple Thread is designed to encourage kindness as a daily practice through guided activities, positive engagement, and community participation. By creating an account, accessing, or using Purple Thread, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
SECTION 1
About Purple Thread
Purple Thread provides tools and activities intended to encourage users to practice kindness in their everyday lives.
Purple Thread may provide daily or guided kindness activities, tools for recording or reflecting on completed activities, user profiles, posts, reactions, or other community interactions, reminders and notifications, progress or participation features, educational, inspirational, or community content, and other features that may be introduced over time. Features may change as Purple Thread develops.
SECTION 2
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create or use a Purple Thread account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Purple Thread only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian where such permission is required by law.
By using Purple Thread, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements. We may establish additional age requirements for particular features.
SECTION 3
Your Account
Certain Purple Thread features may require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your account information reasonably current, protect your password and login credentials, not allow unauthorized individuals to use your account, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
You are responsible for activity occurring through your account to the extent permitted by law. You may not impersonate another person, create an account using another person's identity without authorization, or misrepresent your affiliation with another person or organization.

The Purple Thread Community
Purple Thread is intended to foster positive and respectful interactions. When participating in the community, you agree to treat others with dignity and respect.
You may not use Purple Thread to harass, threaten, bully, intimidate, or abuse another person; promote hatred or discrimination; encourage violence or dangerous behavior; exploit, endanger, or target minors; stalk another person or invade their privacy; publish another person's private or confidential information without permission; or impersonate another person.
You may also not engage in fraud, deception, or manipulation; send spam or unauthorized commercial solicitations; upload malicious software or attempt to interfere with the Services; engage in illegal activities; or encourage others to violate these Terms. Content or behavior that conflicts with the purpose or safety of the Purple Thread community may be removed or restricted.
SECTION 5
Kindness Activities and Personal Responsibility

SECTION 6
User Content
Purple Thread may allow users to create, submit, upload, post, or share content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of the User Content you create.
By submitting User Content through Purple Thread, you grant Purple Thread a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, improve, and promote the Services. This license does not transfer ownership of your content to Purple Thread.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit the content and that your content does not violate applicable law or the rights of another person.
SECTION 7
Respecting Other People's Privacy
Kindness sometimes involves other people. That does not automatically give you permission to share their personal information, image, story, or circumstances. Before posting information about another person, consider whether you have their permission.
Do not use Purple Thread to publicly disclose another person's sensitive, private, or identifying information without authorization.
SECTION 8
Content Moderation
We may review, restrict, remove, or disable access to content or accounts that we reasonably believe violate these Terms, violate applicable law, create safety or privacy concerns, infringe another person's rights, constitute spam, fraud, or abuse, or materially interfere with the Purple Thread community or Services.
We are not obligated to monitor every piece of content submitted to Purple Thread.
SECTION 9
Reporting Concerns
If you encounter content or behavior that you believe violates these Terms or threatens the safety of another user, please use available reporting features or contact us at support@mypurplethread.com. We may investigate reports and take action we determine appropriate under the circumstances.
SECTION 10
Intellectual Property
Except for User Content, Purple Thread and its associated content and materials are owned by or licensed to Purple Thread and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. This includes the Purple Thread name, logos and branding, app design and interface, original graphics and illustrations, written content, guided kindness activities, videos and audio, software, databases, and other original materials.
Unless expressly permitted, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, license, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit Purple Thread materials. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of Purple Thread's trademarks or other intellectual property.
SECTION 11
Feedback and Suggestions
We welcome ideas and feedback about Purple Thread. If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, feature requests, or other feedback, you agree that we may use that feedback to develop and improve Purple Thread without compensation or obligation to you.
SECTION 12
Notifications and Communications
Purple Thread may send service-related communications concerning your account, security, changes to the Services, or other important matters. If you choose to receive optional reminders, promotional messages, or notifications, you may be able to adjust those preferences through your account, device settings, or applicable unsubscribe options.
SECTION 13
Third-Party Services
Purple Thread may integrate with or contain links to third-party websites, platforms, products, or services. Purple Thread does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices. Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Purple Thread Privacy Policy, which should be read together with these Terms.
SECTION 15
Changes to the Services
Purple Thread is an evolving platform. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features or portions of the Services. We will provide notice where required by applicable law.
SECTION 16
Suspension or Termination
You may stop using Purple Thread at any time. You may also request deletion of your account in accordance with our Privacy Policy and available account settings.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Purple Thread when we reasonably believe a user has materially or repeatedly violated these Terms, creates a safety or security risk, uses the Services fraudulently or unlawfully, infringes the rights of others, or interferes with the operation of Purple Thread. Where appropriate and legally required, we may provide notice or an opportunity to appeal.
SECTION 17
No Professional Advice
Purple Thread provides general informational, inspirational, and community-based content. Purple Thread does not provide medical, mental health, legal, financial, emergency, or other professional advice. Content available through Purple Thread should not be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
If you are experiencing an emergency or believe someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency services.
SECTION 18
No Guarantee of Results
Purple Thread is intended to encourage positive habits and actions, but we cannot guarantee particular personal, emotional, social, or other outcomes from using the Services. Every person's experience is different.
SECTION 19
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Purple Thread and the Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
SECTION 20
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Purple Thread and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of the Services.
Purple Thread is not responsible for actions independently taken by users in connection with kindness activities or interactions with other people. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
SECTION 21
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Purple Thread and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, your User Content, or your violation of another person's rights.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Purple Thread and applicable laws evolve. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the app, email, or another appropriate method.
Your continued use of Purple Thread after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those Terms to the extent permitted by law.
SECTION 23
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable law and any dispute-resolution provisions that Purple Thread may adopt.
SECTION 24
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
SECTION 25
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Purple Thread Privacy Policy and any additional policies or terms applicable to specific features, constitute the agreement between you and Purple Thread concerning your use of the Services.
