Purple Thread exists to encourage people to practice kindness in everyday life. If you participate in community features, help protect the kind of space we're trying to create.

Respect & Dignity

Be kind to people here, too. Treat other members with dignity and respect. Disagreement is allowed. Personal attacks, harassment, bullying, threats, or humiliation are not.

Helping someone does not give us the right to expose them. Sometimes the kindest choice is not posting at all. Do not post another person's private story, photograph, or personal information without permission.

Healthy Participation

Kindness isn’t measured by popularity. Do not compete over who is kinder, who has done more, or whose actions receive the most attention.

Share your own experience. Protect people’s dignity. Respect boundaries — kindness should never require someone to ignore personal boundaries or place themselves in an unsafe situation.

Safety & Protection

• No hate or discrimination: Content that attacks, dehumanizes, or promotes hatred toward people based on protected characteristics is not welcome.

• No harassment or threats: Do not threaten, stalk, intimidate, bully, or repeatedly target another member.

• No harmful or dangerous content: Do not encourage violence, self-harm, dangerous behavior, or illegal activity.

• No exploitation or solicitation: No scams, manipulation, spam, or unauthorized commercial solicitation.

• Keep children safe: The current beta is 18+. Do not share identifying/private information or photographs of minors without appropriate permission.
